The problem
Planning a day out usually means a dozen tabs, a group chat that goes in circles and a guess at the cost. Most lists of things to do ignore the weather and price things per person, so the real total only turns up on the day. We wanted a plan in a few minutes that already fits the weather, the group and the budget.
What we did
Lawrence led Ooting from the first design directions to launch. Setup is one screen with four questions, then a deck of places that suit the forecast. Each card shows the cost for the whole group and one line on why it fits, like "Indoors, good for a wet Sunday". The deck always ends at a plan, laid out by day with times and a total, and a partner or friends can vote on it from a link with no app to download. We drew the brand to match: black and white with one vivid green, a drawn wordmark and a sticker for each kind of place. The launch film is made in code, with the app's own type, colours and screens.
